The Scripture says, “Come boldly to the throne of grace.” You won’t go boldly if you’re always begging. You won’t pray with confidence if you’re asking again and again for the same thing. You need to switch out of the asking mode and into the thanking mode.

  It’s really amazing how many people think slavery only existed in

the American south between white owners and black slaves. Slavery

goes back as far as the human race has been in existence, there is

not one race of people, white, black, brown, orange or purple

that has not been enslaved; and generally they were enslaved

by people of their own race. Slavery did not grow out of racism

racism grew out of slavery.

 People who were never slaves are demanding compensation from people who never owned slaves. Worse, some of the people demanding compensation had ancestors who were willing participants of the slave trade and profited from it. Others, are descendants of slaves and find themselves lumped in with the slave owners by virtue of their skin colour. I can honestly say that the only person I know who really was a slave at one time, was my great aunt who spent several years in a gulag for the crime of being a member of a defeated nation.
